I am at my friends house and he is a MM user. However he has just changed his computer to one which does not have a rs232 port. We have put on a rs232 to usb system. We know this works as it does all it should on Google Earth. However, this will just not work with MM. He has a Etrex H. Could support please help?

miffin,

Go into the Device Manager and look for PORTS (COM & LPT). Find the Com Port that has been allocated to the Serial to USB connection.

In Memory-Map go to GPS > GPS SET-UP and select the following:

manfacturer: GARMIN
model: SERIAL
port: AS SHOWN IN DEVICE MANAGER

Thanks
