John T, When the goodbye message appears on the screen and the unit shuts down is there any way of retrieving the lost data. Having used my 2800 on a cycle trip recently and having had the gps track the route I was very disappointed to loose the data on my return home.

If MM closed "cleanly" then all the overlay data should be available when you start the Adventurer again. However, if it "crashed" then sorry, the latest track data will be lost.

You should qualify for the GB 2012 "upgrade" price of about £60 which covers up to 5 devices. I've posted a link in a thread within the last couple of days.
