I use a macbook pro, have a spare netbook that I was thinking of using for running the program, trouble is it doesn't have a CD drive. Anyone know how to get it on computer?

Thanks

Hi,

A USB "drive" of almost any type, or a card reader, or network the PCs together, .........

Cheers, Alan.

Can i just copy the CD onto a drive. I thought it didn't copy installation files across?

Hi,

You might need to "show hidden files" within Windows Explorer to ensure that everything is copied.

But in general you only need the Memory Map Program .EXE (for example from the Downloads page) and the Map files (.QCT, and perhaps also .QC3, .QED and .MMI with the same names) from various folders on the CD.

Cheers, Alan.

That's what I was looking for! Didn't realise I could download the program! Should I be able to copy the map files off the CD?

Hi,

Yes. Just ensure that the folder(s) you use/create for the maps are added in the Map > Map List > Refresh map List window. But some recent CDs use the .QC3 file format which will fall under the new License management system.

Cheers, Alan.
