Hi,

The PC version of MM (V5.4.2 build 1089) which I am using has limited marine icons and the port/starboard buoy are colured and shaped for the US (IALA B) rather than the rest of the world (IALA A) - though interestingly (and confusingly) they are IALA B on the pocket PC version!

Has anybody created a set of IALA B icons, preferably including cardinal marks etc?

If a new set of icons are imported onto the PC, would/do they get passed to the Pocket PC when marks etc are uploaded?

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry, I can't help with any new icons.

Versions of the PC software up to about v5.1.3 had a "bug" whereby ALL waypoint icons were included in every .MMO file. They would thus be loaded into the PPC software if any .MMO was imported. However, now, I believe the icons are only included if actually referenced in the .MMO, so you may need to create a special "comprehensive" route to transfer them to the PPC.

Beware that the PPC software is limited to 100 icons, any more will be ignored. But I guess that any which are on the PPC could be exported back to the PC software using the Overlay : Backup (or Save as.. ) facility. I'm not sure what would happen if there were identical names or symbol numbers already on the PC.

Cheers, Alan.
