I bought this product from the UK store:
http://shop.memory-map.co.uk/acatalog/i ... SW_V5.html
after reading the product information from this page:
http://memory-map.com.au/products/austr ... f-nsw.html

I thought they would be the same product, but they appear not to be. The .com.au website has a screenshot of Darling Harbour in street map view, which is not available in the set of maps I have. And the 1:25k maps that I have are very poorly produced with blocky text.

I'm very disappointed with the set I've got, and I wonder if either a) I've been sold old stock or b) the map sets available in Australia are different to those available outside for some reason?

Hi Bobby,

Perhaps they're still encrypted. Have you gone through the License Manager registration procedure? What type of device are you using (PC, iPad, Mobile Device, etc.)? Perhaps Tech. Support in USA, AU or UK can help further (you might need to email them your License Manager username and reference this thread)?

Cheers, Alan.

Hi Alan

Thanks for your response. I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but I think we're talking at cross-purposes. The product is a DVD based one, so as far as I know the license manager shouldn't come into it.

I'm using memory map on a windows PC.

Hi Bobby,

If the (large) map files are in .QC3 format then yes I think they might be license-managed (but I've tried to avoid .QC3s as much as possible :) ). However, the "appearance" of encrypted maps should be quite obvious.

Cheers, Alan.

I am not familiar with all of the UK products, but I would think that you would not be able to read any text on the encrypted maps. They should be quite obvious as very blocky and unclear. You should be able to get a demo of the online map to compare.
