OS EDITIONS
Memory-Map 2004 OS Editions do not support self-scanned maps. The user is responsible for ensuring the original publishers copyright approval is obtained before importing or using self-scanned maps and charts. In case of Ordnance Survey maps, if permission is granted by OS, a separate licence will be required before such use for which a charge will be made.

  Customisable Navigation Window

Use the Goto waypoint or Follow route command and a pop-up window will display a pointer arrow showing the direction you should take as well as the bearing and distance to the next waypoint. Select the information you would like to be displayed - eg. position, bearing, etc.

  Auto Chart Select
Memory-Map can be configured to automatically select the best chart for a given GPS position.
  Chart Outlines
Show outlines of large-scale maps on your small-scale route planning maps, to enable you to quickly see if a more detailed map of the area is available.
  Charts at cursor
Simply right click on a chart or map to show all the maps available at the current position. On Pocket PC hold stylus on screen to see maps available at current position
  Lock on to GPS
Automatically selects the most appropriate map, then as you move, keeps your current position in the centre of the screen whilst the map scrolls. Provides a constant view of your current position and surrounding area.
  Waypoint click and drag
Enables you to quickly enter and plan a route using multiple waypoints. Simply click to enter a new waypoint then if necessary drag it to alter its' position.
  Waypoint / Route lock
All waypoints and routes can be locked individually. This ensures that once it is set, a route or waypoint cannot be accidentally moved out of position.
  Email waypoints, routes, positions and tracklogs or post to a website
It's easy to share your favourite routes and tracks or simply tell someone where you are. Click on a waypoint, route, track or GPS position and send via email. Great for groups planning joint trips and 'rendezvous'. Can also be saved on disk for reference or distribution.
  Distance from current position
Simply clicking on the map will show the distance and bearing from your current position. Enables fast cross checking of your position with a compass using bearings from known landmarks.
  Alternate Chart Views
Enables you to have two alternate views of the same chart at different locations and/or zoom levels. Useful for a high level and detailed view of your current position or to toggle between start and end points of a route.
  Multiple Windows
Multiple charts can be opened, and then tiled on the display, either vertically or horizontally.
  Night Colours
A menu option switches the display to lower intensity night colours to preserve night vision in low light surroundings.
  Voice Memo Position Marks
Press the record button on your Pocket PC to place a mark at your current position and record your own message. eg "This would be a great spot to set up camp."
  Satellite Display Status
Displays a graph of satellite signal strength to provide a visual indication of your GPS unit's current status. Especially useful when your GPS is first trying to calculate it's current position. (NMEA mode only)
