Plan Routes

Don't always rely on a paper arrow stuck to the next tree to tell you where to go or hidden signposts, with Memory-Map you can accurately plan a ride and see distance, elevation profiles and estimated time to complete. You can even view your route in 3D with 3D World™. Most importantly, you can add markers for important points to look out for (like the best pub for lunch, or the last chance to take the easy route home!)

Print Maps

Make your guide books last longer by using Memory-Map to print out your route and leaving the guide book at home. The A4 maps will save you having to fight with a full sized paper map on a windy ridge line, and with Toughprint™ paper you can even have waterproof maps too!

Program GPS

Transfer your routes and tracks to a GPS unit to give you a visual guide on your handlebars! Don't worry about having to stop every couple of miles to check your map, or spending all your time looking for the next route marker, as all the information you need can be right in front of you for your whole ride!

Ideal for those who want a little more detailed mapping on a handheld unit, Memory-Map will also run on a Pocket PC or Smartphone. If you have a GPS connected, this feature will show you exactly where you are on a full colour OS map and will even track your progress if you require. Great for cycle touring!

Performance Review

One of the most useful features for cyclists is the ability to download data from your GPS unit post-ride. Performance Review with Memory-Map will show you exactly where your route took you, how fast you were going, how big that killer hill was and can even show you what your heart-rate was (if using a heart-rate compatible GPS). Better still, all this data can be saved to compare against next time you ride the same route!

• Digital mapping can be used to plan routes, print maps and program your GPS with route or track data to give you a visual representation of your route
• GPS units are specifically designed for route navigation. They will display position, speed and distance and have all features necessary to adjust routes while on the move
• Some GPS units within this range can display basic mapping data (not Memory-Map mapping) and can be loaded with software such as Garmin Topo to enhance navigation when out on the hill

• Perfect for those who are competing, training or are trying to use digital mapping and GPS to improve fitness. Some are also ideal for running
• Digital mapping can be used to plan routes, print maps and program your GPS with basic route data. It can also be used to show comprehensive performance review data including speed, distance, elevation data, altitude and heart rate (where the unit records this data
• GPS units are designed to display performance related data, such as speed, distance, heart-rate or cadence but can be limited in their navigation displays and route adjusting ability
• GPS units within this range will not be able to display any of Garmin's own mapping data
